What services do you offer?

Are you open on holidays?

We are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. We also have shortened hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Are appointments required, or do you accept walk-ins?

Patients are seen by appointment only. Click here to book an appointment or give us a call at (314) 721-6251.

Do you have a no-show or late cancellation policy?

Yes. We kindly ask that if you will not be able to make your appointment, you let us know with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a $75 fee.

Do you offer payment plans?

Payment for services is due at the time of service. While we do not offer payment plans, we do accept CareCredit and All Pet Card. These financial services offer interest-free payments for veterinary expenses are paid in full within 6 months. After 6 months, interest is charged similar to a credit card (interest accrues from the date of the visit).

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Do you accept pet health insurance?

We have no restrictions regarding which pet health insurance carrier you have, but we do not accept payments directly from the carrier. Payment is collected at the time of service, and the pet parent would then submit the invoice to the insurance carrier for reimbursement. For most pets, we recommend considering pet health insurance.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Yes! We have multiple appointments reserved every day for patients who need to be seen that day. Same-day appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do you see urgent care or emergencies?

Yes! We are prepared to see urgent care and emergent cases Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Should your pet need more advanced or ICU care, your pet will be referred to one of the St. Louis-area referral hospitals.

Does Kingsbury Animal Hospital offer cat declawing?

No, we do not offer this surgery. St. Louis established a ban on this surgery in 2020. We would be happy to discuss alternatives to this procedure and behavior modification techniques to help with inappropriate scratching at home.

Does Kingsbury Animal Hospital offer ear cropping?

No, we do not offer this surgery.
