Ben, Office Manager

moved to St. Louis from New York City in 1993. He was an In Flight Supervisor for Trans World Airlines for many years before leaving in 1997. He then started a new career in veterinary care. He worked as both a technician and Practice Manager before joining Kingsbury in 2002. He lives in the Central West End and enjoys spending time with family.

Sophia, Receptionist 

earned her associate's degree of Culinary Arts in 2011 and worked as a baker before changing careers in 2015 as a veterinary receptionist. She joined Kingsbury in 2021 and has brought with her an abundance of knowledge and experience with our operating software. She is a life-long St. Louis native and currently lives in Affton with her husband and two dogs, Marvelous Marvin and Atticus. She enjoys collecting houseplants, crafting, playing video games and baking for friends and family.

Kathy, Lead Registered Veterinary Technician

earned an Associates in Applied Science- Veterinary Technology from Jefferson College and has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2010. She has been with Kingsbury since 2009 and has been the Technician Supervisor since 2014.  She received her Veterinary Cannabis Counselor certification in 2020 and has a special interest in anesthesia. She plays a key role in keeping us up to date on drug protocols and anesthetic procedures. She lives in South City with her husband, Joe, and enjoys home-brewing, cooking, live music and spending time outside.

Ellen, Veterinary Technician

 first earned a bachelors in Mass Communication from MIZZOU in 2019. After an internship at Dallas Zoo, she changed interests and then earned her veterinary technician degree from Midwest Institute. She has been with Kingsbury since 2022.  Her primary area of interest is dental procedures, clean teeth are important! She is a St Louis native, but currently calls Edwardsville home.  She has two dogs, Gus and Nelle. In her off time, she enjoys being a foodie and playing pickleball.

Cheryl, Veterinary Technician

Originally hired by Dr. Brammeier in January 2006, she left to peruse an interest in Emergency medicine and then Neurology in 2015. She has since returned and is thrilled to see her old friends, clients and their pets.  She lives in South City with her husband and enjoys her grandkids, gardening and cooking.


Sam, Veterinary Technician

is a St. Louis native who attended Midwest Institute earning a degree in Veterinary Sciences in 2022.  She completed her internship with us and made such an impression she was hired shortly after.  Her past experience at one of the diagnostic laboratories makes our lab her favorite place.  She and her fiancee live in St. Louis with their four pets, Izzy, Ellie, Zoidberg and Marinara.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading--primarily fiction-- and playing with animals.

is originally from Illinois and moved to St. Louis in 2011. He enjoys working with animals and has a cat named Otis.

Olivia, Groomer

started grooming as a profession in 2007. She grew up with rescue dogs and had to groom them herself, so grooming was a natural choice. She joined Kingsbury in 2017. Her favorite dog to groom is a doodle, but loves grooming complicated dogs that require scissoring. She lives in Illinois with her husband and their six dogs Bernice, Brutus, Henry, Krum, Coal, and Penelope. She loves the outdoors and crafting.

Ryan, Groomer

has just recently graduated high school (2021) from Gateway Science Academy. She first attended Hancock High School where she became the first girl to win a state wrestling champion in her weight class. She has officially been grooming for about two years but has grown up in a grooming salon. Her favorite dog to groom is poodles because of the different style cuts and their general intelligence. She and her three dogs, Hammy, Loki and Odin, call Saint Louis home. In her off time, she enjoys painting and spending time outside.
